Within two (2) weeks after the tests, I was invited in to see the Oncology Team at Guys and St. Thomas’s in London Bridge.

I was met by head Oncologist Prof Ellis and the Breast Care Nurses team. They looked at me and wanted to find out how I had discovered there was something wrong with my right breast. It turned out this was the type of breast cancer, where left undetected, would have been an invasive one.

Prof Ellis, an incredible doctor (now retired), again asked how I’d made the discovery and commended me on taking action.

He informed me that I had a type of breast cancer called Invasive DCIS, (INVASIVE DUCTAL CARCINOMA INSITU) and on discovery, was at the Grade 2 stage.
